Nasco Healthcare Advanced Venipuncture and Injection Arm Features

The Advanced IV Training Arm provides complete venous access for IV therapy and phlebotomy training, along with sites for intramuscular and intradermal injections. An extensive 8-line vascular system allows learners to practice venipuncture at both primary and secondary locations, including starting IVs and introducing over-the-needle IV catheters.

Soft, lifelike skin and flexible fingers create a realistic training experience. Learners can palpate veins, feel valves beneath the skin, and experience a discernible“pop” sensation when entering the vein. The skin rolls during palpation, helping reinforce proper vein identification and access techniques.

Intramuscular injections can be performed in the deltoid muscle, and intradermal injection sites in the upper arm allow students to create realistic skin welts using distilled water.

The included IV Arm Circulation Pump provides a continuous flow of simulated blood through the trainer. The semi-closed system reduces setup and cleanup time while supporting extended training sessions. Variable flow and multiple power options allow the trainer to be used in a variety of simulation environments.
